A Classic Home Tour: White Done Right

Hi everyone!  If you have been reading the blog for a while now, you know that I love color.  I am drawn to it and not afraid to use it.  However, every once in a while I want to sell my home, custom build a new one and do EVERYTHING in neutrals.  This beautiful home tour of the home of Sonja of JS Home Design is an example of a home that makes me crave neutrals.  The draw of neutrals is that you can just swap colors out via pillows and decor to get that needed pop of color.

How beautiful and serene is the entry way?  I love the detailed coffered ceilings and paneled walls.  Who needs color or extensive art when you have these?

Oh la la this great room.  It is all neutral, but there is so much texture and different patterns so yo don’t lose interest.

I love the combination of the classic wingback chairs and the Chinese Chippendale chairs in this dining room.

This beaded chandelier is so chic and coastal.  Such a statement piece.

More white is upstairs in the master bedroom.  Very calming and serene.

The master bath just screams “Calgon take me away.”

The final shot is over her amazing outdoor living space that transitions so seamlessly from indoors to outdoors.

I have a serious case of design envy.  This home makes me want to buy a vacation home and decorate in this palate. I think I would tire of it a bit full time.

What do you think?  Do you like the all neutral palate?  Or do you like a bit more color?

We are on vacation this week and soaking up every moment of fun in the sun.  It’s back to reality next week.
