What’s New Around Our Home

Hi friends.  Happy Monday.  The weather in California has been heavenly (like 70 degrees), so I have been coming out of my winter hibernation.  I wanted to let you know about a few updates around our home.  Decorating is never done, so I am always tweaking and rearranging, so here a are a few of my recent updates.

If you came on my holiday home tour this year, you may have noticed these beautiful urns from Ballard Designs on my china cabinet.  They are by Suzanne Kasler.   I wasn’t paying that much attention when I ordered them and they are larger than I expected.  I love where I have placed them for now, but they could truly work in any room in the house.  There are 4 different shapes to choose from.

Up next is this abstract art piece from Target.  I had it in this roundup of Target finds and I thought I would try it out.  It was only $65.  Given the size and chic frame of this art, it is such a steal for the impact it provides.  The colors are also very calming and relaxing  I have it above the media table in my bedroom.  Sorry for the ugly TV in the photo!

Finally, I recently updated the mirror in the girls bathroom with this glossy black pagoda mirror.  I also found this adorable embroidered pagoda hand towel on Etsy.  Now I just have to keep my girls from trying to use it!  As usual, I made more of a project out of it because after I replaced the mirrors, the sconces didn’t look right,  So, new sconces are on the way soon.  My husband loves it when I do this.

Have you made any quick updates to your home lately?  I have some bigger projects on the horizon, including replacing some widows, painting the exterior of our home, replacing the flooring in the girls’ bathroom, and if there is a Lord above, doing a refresh of our kitchen.  I have to propose all of these slowly to keep the hubs from having an anxiety attack, even though he knows it all needs to be done!

Have a great week!

xo
