Christmas Decorating with Nearly Natural

Hi friends!  I don’t know about you, but due to the pandemic and wanting to add some festivity to our home, I have started decorating for the holidays earlier than ever.  I suppose all rules are out the door since its 2020.  Believe it or not all the stores are selling fresh garlands and wreaths already.  I even found a Christmas tree lot open.  I still think that getting a tree before Thanksgiving is a cardinal sin.

I was thrilled when Nearly Natural offered some holiday decor for me to try out. They have a variety of Christmas items in their Christmas Shop including artificial trees, wreaths, swags and garlands.  In addition to Christmas decor, they they have artificial plants and tress for indoors and out for any season under the sun.  I spotted a faux fiddle leaf fig tree that was totally up my alley when browsing their site.  Oh my!

Up first is an amazing faux magnolia wreath with hints of gold for extra glamour.  It definitely makes a statement on my gold faux bamboo mirror.  I love the touch of gold.  No ordinary magnolia wreath here. I have had plain green magnolia wreaths in the past and they are just kind of ho-hum.  I once spray painted a real magnolia wreath after Christmas with gold spray paint and used it the next year.  So, I like hints of gold to say the least!

For our outdoor decorations, I opted for Nearly Natural’s Cedar, Ruscus, Magnolia and Berry wreath.  Isn’t it gorgeous?  The best part about this wreath is that it transitions nicely from fall to winter.  It could be placed in fall and eventually become part of winter and Christmas decor. I love the way it pops against our black door.  It is so life like you have to touch it to discover that it is faux. The white of the magnolia and red berries just pop against the black.

Here is a close up. Isn’t it amazingly life-like?

Well my Christmas decorating has just begun and thanks to Nearly Natural, it is off to a great start.  What about you?  Are you decorating early this year or not decorating at all because it’s 2020? I feel like most people I know are really getting in the spirit early this year, but I would totally get folding in the towel this year and not decorating at all.  That is what I did with fall decor this year.  Just felt uninspired.

I hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving and are ready to start decorating over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Until next time!

Going Digital with Holiday Cards

Hi everyone!  I’m thinking of taking a different approach for my holiday cards this year.  Does this scenario sound familiar?  Spend way to much money on a photographer to take your family photos.  Wait to the last minute to order the perfect holiday card that seemed reasonably priced until there were ridiculous charges for special card shapes, unique envelope liners and shimmer paper.  The cards arrive and you procrastinate addressing them.  Some never make it to their recipients by December 25th?

Despite my promises every year to, “Be more organized this year,” the same thing happens to me every year.  This year, I have decided to save myself the headache, save some trees, and go digital with a holiday card from Paperless Post.

The process could not be easier.  You simply upload your photo (if you want to use one), customize the card, enter in your recipient email addresses and hit send.  Then if you are type A like me, you add it to your to-do list and then very proudly cross holiday cards off you list.

Here is the card I opted for this year.  I love its simplicity and pop of red.  It is like a present you can’t wait to open.

Here are a few other options from Paperless Post I really love.

You likely know of my Greek Key obsession!

This one brings me back to the sleepless nights of having newborns that I thought would never end!

What about you?  Have you ordered your holiday cards this year?  Save yourself the headache and some trees and go digital!

Add Some Flair To Your Thanksgiving Table

If you have been reading this blog since its inception, you know I have a bit of an obsession right now with gold and gold and white.

I think is the perfect warm shade to accent a holiday table, especially a Thanksgiving table.  Metallics add such a rich feel and gold gives off such a warmth.

I have rounded up a few entertaining essentials in my favorite hue!!

Anthropology has this beautiful gold place setting that would make such a statement.

These gold dipped glasses from Jayson Home would make even plain soda water sparkle!

Who doesn’t fight over the wishbone at Thanksgiving dinner?  This 24 karat gold-plated wishbone from Jason Home might just have your guests wishing they could take half of this bad boy home.

This would be such a whimsical decorative accent on top of a pile of books on a coffee table.

Wayfair has a selection of gold pepper grinders that are to die for.  Doesn’t this utilitarian object feel so luxe in gold?

Finally, these sets of napkin rings from ZGallerie would perfectly finish off a place setting.  I really like the modern “spikey” ones for an non-traditional approach.

You are probably not as obsessed as me, but what do you think?
