Hey everyone! I hope you had a wonderful holiday. I hope you had a chance to enter the Letitia Elizabeth Giveaway. I will be announcing the winner on Wednesday!!
Over the years, I have found myself less and less inspired by Pottery Barn. I just felt like their catalogs looked the same season after season. However, I was recently surprised by some of the collections over at PB Teen. I wrote about the Emily and Merritt collections here and here. Over the weekend, I opened up the Pottery Barn Kids catalog and was BLOWN away. They have a new collection of chinoiserie inspired goods that are so sophisticated. I would die for any of the pieces I saw and would admittedly be very jealous of any “kid” lucky enough to have such a room.
Here are some of the pieces from their new collection I am drooling over.
Seriously, how cute is this pagoda monogram. They have upped the sophistication a notch for sure!
Speaking of pagodas, I can’t get over this pagoda lantern from the collection. The bamboo is to die for.
I like their whimsical take on chinoiserie prints here in the bedding.
This gold bamboo mirror is living-room worthy. It is definitely a more affordable version that what you would find elsewhere!
The collection has a line of campaign style dressers called the Gemma Collection. Campaign style pieces, noted for their bold brass hardware, have been popular for a few years now. If you get lucky, you can find them at a thrift store or Craigslist, but they are hard to come by.
That is why it is ironic I am sharing my second ever Craigslist find. It is a campaign dresser I found for ONLY $50!!! It needs some love, but with the hardware polished bright gold and some paint, it will be beautiful! This find could not have come at a better time. My sister had been lending us a dresser that she needed to reclaim, so my daughter’s clothing had been sitting on her floor for a week. It was driving me CRAZY. I was about to run out and buy an outrageously expensive piece with no personality!
Here is what it looks like now:
Pretty ugly now, I know. It is going to go in my daughter’s room so here is what I envision:
For Chic Sake
Or, I may go the white and gold route. I can’t wait to get to work on this project and turn trash into treasure!
What do you think? What color should I paint this lovely lady?

Awesome find, Jennifer!! It’s a great size and I know it will be so pretty once you get done with it!
Thanks Tamara! I know you see the potential like I do. I am chomping at the bit to find time to restore this beauty! Stay tuned for a before and after post. xoxo
Theres nothing better than a good fun colored campaign dresser thats for sure! So many possibilities.
I am so excited for this dresser makeover Shavonda! I will be posting before and afters soon. It was so much work, but so much fun!
