Hi everyone!! I have teamed up once again with the fabulous Marty at A Stroll Thru Life and many other talented bloggers to show you our holiday homes decked out in holiday cheer. There is so much talent and so many different design styles, these tours are chock full of inspiration. A huge thank you to Marty for putting this all together.
If you are coming over from Pam at Simple Details– Welcome! I just love Pam’s chic style and eye for detail, and man can that girl spy a Craigslist find! If you are new here, I’m Jennifer – a Human Resources consultant by day and a design enthusiast and blogger in the wee hours of the night! Our family recently purchased our dream home that we rented for 3 years, so are so excited to fix it up and make it our own one room at a time. Bye bye beige walls and hello color!
So, without further ado, welcome to our home. Get yourself a hot chocolate and come on in!
I thought it would be fitting to start with the entry to our home. This is the only place where you will find traditional holiday green and red. Here, Santa is in his sleigh full of gifts for good girls and boys! I embellished it by adding garland, a poinsettia and some birch accents.
As you walk into our home we have a small entry table and a long hallway. This hallway was recently painted and declutterd and we added sconces. The runners are from Home Decorator’s Collection and they look vintage and a great price. I get compliments on them all the time.
Our tree is very similar to last year’s with a few additional ornaments. I have collected jewel-toned ornaments forever, so while it is tempting to want to go with more traditional colors, it would be expensive to start over. Maybe one of these years!
Our jewel-toned tree blends great with our new navy sofa and walls in the hallway.
I thought I would give our gold faux bamboo mirror its own bling with a magnolia leaf wreath with a few of the leaves painted gold.
I added some white bottle brush trees from Target to my obelisk collection and voila- instant Christmas decor.
One thing I did this year was to decorate my daughter’s rooms for the holidays. I just did a few embellishments based on the colors already in their rooms. This is my older daughter’s room and I added to already bright decor with pinks and greens. The wreaths are Smith and Hawkin from Target.
I used simple craft store tassels and faux gems to dress up the gift packages.
My younger daughter’s room is much more neutral, so I went with winter white, grey and pink. I found the fun “Let it Snow” banner on clearance at Homegoods last year after Christmas.
These are a few of the Eiffel Tower ornaments I have collected over the years.
This is the first year I have decorated our breakfast nook. With the new wallpaper, I thought that blue nd white colors would be fitting and I threw in some very pale pink with ribbon and Amaryllis flowers.
I added tons of wreaths and even put garland on the Chinoiserie chandelier. Some vintage white peacocks top it off. It makes it look like a birdcage to me!
I am so glad you stopped by. I hope you enjoyed the tour. I love decorating for the holidays so much. Now it is time to spend quality time with my family and enjoy the decor and the season.

xoxo,

What a delightful tour from start to finish Jennifer! I adore your front porch sled and your daughters room is charming!
Thank you so much Laura! That sled was inherited from my husband’s grandmother, so it is very special to us. Have a very Merry Christmas.
Oh I love how warm and inviting your home is, so much character and your decor is beautiful. It is so fun to see how you are transforming your home. The dining room is such a stunning space and that wallpaper is one of my favorites. Love your collection of all the beautiful jars. How fun to decorate the girls bedrooms too. Thanks so much for joining the tour, your home is always a favorite.
Thank you so much Marty. I am honored to be part of the tour. I can’t believe you put this all together mid-move. I can’t wait to see more of your new home. xoxo
Oh Jennifer! I absolutely love every aspect of your Christmas home tour! From the entry to the hallway and all the rooms! Love the touches of pink and seriously considering that color for next year! Love how you incorporate Christmas into your everyday decor, just tastefully done! So honored to share this home tour with you! Cheers!
Thank you so much Vel. I regret not decorating my table for Christmas after seeing yours decked out in bling! I hope you and your family have very merry holidays!
So pretty, Jennifer!! My favorite part are the sconces in the hallway decked with wreathes. You did a beautiful job!! xoxo
Thank you so much Tamara. I love the way my hallway turned out. I adore the sconces and have been so pleased with the navy wall color. Happy Holidays sweet friend!
I love it all, but the simple wreaths with pink bows in the hallway is just beautiful!
Thank you Jenna! I had a feeling that hot pink would be on your approved list for holiday decorating. You have such fun style! Cheers and happy holidays!
Absolutely gorgeous! I love anything faux bamboo so I adore your mirror, chandelier and that cute little faux bamboo chair tucked away in your daughters room.
I have to giggle though as this is the second time I have been on a Christmas Blog Tour that was titled 2017. Did I just get a year older without realizing it?
OMG!! I just changed it Teresa. Things have been all kinds of crazy around our home and I wrote this so late at night. Maybe it is a subconscious wish that the holidays be over with 🙂 Thanks for pointing it out and I am glad you enjoyed the tour.
I love all your decorations, but that Santa sleigh at your front door as so cool! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Thank you so much Laura!! That sleigh came from my husband’s grandma so it is extra special to us. Have a very Merry Christmas!!
I love the blue and white wallpaper in your breakfast room. Would you be willing to share the source ??
Hi Lisa It is from Walls Republic and it is called Denim Blue Tinted. I love it so much!! Highly recommend it.
