Hi friends! I hope everyone is well and enjoying the start of Spring. I had so much fun shopping for my Easter table, I couldn’t stop at just one spring theme. So today you are benefiting from my shopping obsession, as I am going to show you how to style one simple white dinner plate to make three different spring-inspired table settings.
First up is a setting with a bold punch of color. I kept the placemat simple with black and white, but it is the perfect contrast to the colorful plate and napkin.
Next up is a more feminine table setting. I found these amazing salad plates on clearance at Homegoods for $2 a piece and they are the most unusual shape with a gold rim. It compliments the gold flatware from Target perfectly. You can read all about the latest gold finds from Target here.
Finally, I used some of my blue and white pottery to create a chinoiserie vibe. I love the interplay of the blue, pink and gold. Perfection, right? The scalloped placemat was part of an old 1970’s set I found at garage sale. They were originally yellow straw color but I painted them a blue-gray color to go with my dishes.
So, which one is your favorite? I can’t decide which one to do for Easter?
Do you have any big plans for the big day? If you are hosting, I hope this provides some tabletop inspiration!

Hi Jenny,
I was going to use disposible plastic plates, but I just read your blog! I love all your place setting, so I guess you’ve shamed me into setting a nice table for Easter. Sorry I missed you when I was visiting your mom last month.
Love,
Doreen
You crack me up Doreen! Glad I pressured you into it 🙂 We will definitely have to get together next time you are in town. xoxo
