Hi everyone!! The big day is finally here. It is week six of Linda at Calling It Home’s One Room Challenge and that means it is the reveal time. I have to admit that while I felt organized and up to the challenge, completing this space in 6 weeks was definitely a challenge. However, I am very pleased with the results. I ended up achieving my goal of creating a feminine and sophisticated space for my daughter.
This makeover was really very budget friendly and included tons of DIY’s including a DIY cornice, DIY mongolian fur stools, DIY framed wallpaper and much more. I will have full tutorials up on the blog soon. Until then, enjoy the photos. Let’s start with the before:
And at long last, here is the after:
I hope you enjoyed following along with my progress. I am so glad this project is completed and we can enjoy her new space. If you enjoyed these posts, consider subscribing to my blog updates by subscribing here:

SO lovely!! Love the swan panels. That is one of my favorite wallpapers. What a beautiful space!
Thank you so much Albertina!! Your daughter’s room turned out amazing as well. It is fun to create a whimsical yet sophisticated space for a child. xo
Love this sweet room! It’s calm and serene and the pink and grey palette is one that will grow with your daughter. She must be thrilled with her new space. I have the same Swans wallpaper in my 7 year olds room! Love that pattern.
Thanks Jen!! Yes, that wallpaper had me at “hello.” So glad I went with it. I am glad I went with a more sophisticated theme so that it will grow with her. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Jennifer! It looks lovely! The color of the walls and drapes are so perfect and those panels are gorgeous!
It’s so beautiful, Jennifer!! I think my favorite parts are the drapes and the swan panels. Well done! 🙂
Thank you so much Tamara! Those happen to be my favorite parts about the room too. So glad this is complete and I can check her room off my eternal to-do list!
What a beautiful space!!! I have loved that wallpaper that you framed – what a great use of it!!! I love it and love finding a fellow thrifter who appreciates that design can be fun even with that champagne/beer budget problem that I seem to have, too! 🙂
Thank you Stephanie! I totally agree that even those with beer budgets can have great design. My room is mix of thrifted, estate sales and DIY. It makes it that much more rewarding, right? So glad you stopped by. Heading over to check out our blog now 🙂
Jennifer the blush pink is just gorgeous and I adore the framed swans. Have a wonderful flower filled week!
Thank you so much Laura!! I am heading over now to check out your reveal. It has taken me forever to get through all the links 🙂
Oh So Pretty Jennifer! Love how sweet, dainty, and just simply gorgeous the whole room is! Perfect for your young lady! Congrats and CHEERS to us for another room done!
