My Favorites From the Spring 2017 One Room Challenge

Hi all.  Have you been following along with the spring One Room Challenge (“ORC”)?  If you have never heard of it, the ORC was started by Linda at Calling It Home.   During the ORC, 20 designers are challenged to transform a room and document their process every week.  Anyone can join in and link up their projects as a guest participant. I participated last spring as a guest participant.  You can see Audrey’s room makeover here.

There was inspiration overload this year.  Some of these spaces belong in the pages of Architectural Digest or House Beautiful.  Here are my top 5 favorites.

Up first is this glam living room by J + J Design Group.  I love the unexpected pairing of the shiplap walls and rustic dining chairs with the glam and modern elements like the chairs and coffee table.

This sitting room from Old Home Love is so layered and rich.  I love the warm yet bold choice for the walls.

The gallery wall of this bedroom by The English Room is perfection.  It can be hard to get gallery walls right, but she nailed it!!  You have to check out her full room.  It is so full of color and pattern.

I am swooning over the molding in this living room by Jennifer at Rambling Renovators.  Who needs a ton of color on the walls with detail like that.  The pops of color come through in the furnishings.

The traditional symmetry of the Pink Pagoda’s foyer speaks to me.  She knows how to do blue and white right and also combines modern and traditional so effortlessly.

Oh la la these walls from the House of Brinson had me at hello.  Not to mention the hand painted Gracie wallpaper.

Did you follow along with the ORC?  If so, did you have a favorite room?  I hope to participate again one of these days.  I can’t resist the itch to keep changing up my rooms.

Hope you have a great week.

xo,
