Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had an amazing weekend. I was so lucky to enjoy a girls spa weekend in Lake Tahoe for my birthday.
I also had a chance to swing by a Homegoods on my way home. I apparently feel the need to stop at every Homegoods I drive by! I found this amazing black and white marble garbage can on clearance for only $10. It is pure marble and weighs about 50 pounds.
I had no idea where I would put it, but I loved it. When I got it home, I decided it would be a lovely container for flowers. Here is what I did with it. I love the way it looks with hydrangeas and I think it would look even more stunning with white hydrangeas.
I think it has a modern and chic Kelly Wearstler vibe to it. Below are two fabrics from her line and I think my little vase (“trash can”) has a similar style and mood.
I figure I can always use it later for some other purpose or as an actual garbage can.
What do you think? Have you ever repurposed an object for a totally different use?
Linking up to Thrifty Thursday. Head on over to check out the inspiration!!

That piece is too pretty to be used as a trash can. I love how you used it as a vase and it looks great this way!
Thanks so much Jennifer. I love it so much I might be serving mashed potatoes from it by Thanksgiving! Thanks for stopping by!
Very cool trash can turned vase, Jennifer! I love repurposing items too. Happy Birthday! I’m to hear you spoiled with a fun mini getaway! 🙂
Thanks Tamara! I had a great birthday and a girl’s weekend getaway was just what I needed.
