It’s All In The Details: Pleated Lampshades

Hi everyone!  I have been in the market for a new lampshade for a lamp in my daughter’s room. While on my search, I was inspired by lamp shades with pleates and patterns.  Done right, I think they add such a chic element to a room.  If done poorly, they look boring and dated.  I think they key is picking a fun pattern with lots of color.

This Ikat pattern in blue and green foots the bill!

This one in white works because of the blue and white pattern on the bedding and walls.  It makes this lamp stand out like a bride in this photo.

How dainty is this red shade on the swing arm sconce?

The pleates on this red shade give an element of texture to this vignette.

This pleated shade has a metallic sheen that I am loving!

I could curl up in bed and read all day with this beauty by my side.

I love these shades in particular on sconces.  It adds such an element of whimsy.

This one had me at hello.  Many of you know my love of navy and blush!

And for the grand finale.  This entire kitchen is swoon-worthy, but the simple pleated black shade combined with brass add such simple touch to this Parisian-inspired kitchen.

What do you think?  Gorgeous or granny?

I hope everyone is doing well.  I am already starting to gear up for the holidays here in blogland. Everything happends a little earlier around here.

Until next time  . . .
