Hi friends!! I apologize for the radio silence around here, but I have been a little burnt out after the One Room Challenge reveal. Speaking of the ORC, did you have a chance to check out the featured designers? Their spaces were amazing. In case you missed it, I plan to have posts featuring my favorite ORC rooms.
One of the rooms in the challenge by Madeline over at Teal and Gray got me thinking about using some moody floral fabric on a window treatment in one of my black and white bathrooms. If you don’t know what moody florals are, take a look at the images below. Think dark, large-scale and oh so chic!
One obvious way to incorporate moody florals is to use wallpaper or a mural. Another, subtler way, is to use pillows with the pattern. Fabric could also be used to create window treatments as well.
I am thinking about doing some custom roman shades in a moody floral like Madeline did in her ORC space below. Although, I might have a hard time convincing the hubs, as our current window treatments are fairly new. Good thing his opinion really doesn’t count when it comes to the design details of our home 🙂 Doesn’t he know that design is never done??
I hope to post again real soon and get back on my regular posting schedule. I am really looking forward to a 3-day weekend. I am loooong overdue for some spring cleaning 🙂
Until next time.

Great examples of moody florals! I always love your design trend posts!!:-)
Thanks Tamara!! I am really considering using it in a small space in my bathroom. Never hurts to experiment with a trend if it is small space, right?
