New Fall Line: Oh Joy For Target

It’s almost Fall Y’all!!  I popped into my beloved Target the other day for some “school” supplies and noticed that they had a new Fall line of Oh Joy for Target.  I posted more about her debut line here. Joy of Oh Joy is a lifestyle blogger and creates fun and whimsical designs.  Her line for Target is also totally affordable.

I love how the pieces in the Oh Joy collection can be used in unusual and fun ways to create unique vignettes.  For example, I bought this Oh Joy pitcher on clearance at Target for only $6.  While it would be lovely as a pitcher, I thought it might make a fun vase.  I like how the green compliments the pink roses.  Very Lilly Pulitzer!

And look at how someone styled her goblets.  They are plastic but this makes them look so unique and high-end!

Here is a picture of some of her fall items grouped together.  They are more graphic than the summer line and have subtle pops of color!

Here are my favorites.  Even though I have the goblets from the summer line, I think I have to have the fall colors.  They make the best bud vases and are only $4.00 for a set of 4!

My Summer Tabletop

I love to entertain and nothing gets me more excited than creating a fun and beautiful tabletop (I loath the phrase “tablescape.”)  If you have been reading the blog for a while, you know I am a bit obsessed with gold and white.  If you have known me since childhood, you know that I am an avid sea shell collector.

So, I thought I would put together a table combining two of my favorite things!

The gold sea shell placemats are from Homegoods and the shell plates are from Target (no longer available).  The adorable shell place card holders are from Pottery Barn and believe it of not, the gold object behind the card holder is seaweed that I dried and painted gold.  Us DIY’ers are resourceful!

You can read more about my gold and white obsession here or follow my Pinterest board dedicated to all things gold and white here.

How do you entertain in the summer?  Please tell us in the comments your favorite tip for summer entertaining!

Pool Time!

Help!  I am melting!  I don’t know about you, but where I live, it is like living on the sun right now.  On Monday, it was 106 degrees and yesterday it was supposed to cool off to a crisp 100 degrees.  All of this heat has me dreaming of a swimming pool.  The ironic thing is that my mother’s family actually owns a swimming pool company here in town.  Maybe one day, one of their amazing pools will be mine.  Until then, I will have the eye candy below to cool me down.

Come On Over For Easter Brunch!!

I am actually really excited for Easter this year.  My two girls are super giddy about it and that makes it even more fun.  Oh, to be a child again!!  I love entertaining and this table I set up for an Easter brunch was simple, but turned out really elegant.  I used mostly things I already owned, which makes it even better.  So, come on in and see how we roll for Easter . . .

Sprint Tour 8

The flowers are ranunculus, tulips, hyacinths, ornamental kale and reindeer moss.  You can’t have an Easter table without tulips, right?

The plates are a combination of basic white plates from Pottery Barn and fancy china from Vera Wang and Wedgwood.

I found these little moss-covered baskets at World Market for only $2.99.  How cute are they?  The napkins are just inexpensive paper napkins I found at Tuesday Morning.

This ornamental kale was very inexpensive, very pretty and lasted FOREVER!

Now, I just have to cook some amazing food to eat!  What are your plans for Easter?   Do you entertain or host?
