Fall Scouting at H&M

Every few months I love to go online at H&M and see what new goodies they have.  H&M is such an affordable luxury.  This fall, they have rich jewel toned velvet and warm metals all over the place.  This fall, I am going to use more green in my home, but I want it it to be a deep rich green or sea green.  H&M as plenty of goods to meet my needs this year.

All of these are under $30!!!  Crazy, right?  Do you have a favorite?

My Latest Finds and Where I am Featured Today

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day.

Today, I wanted to share with you some of my latest thrifted treasures.  As you can see below, apparently I am really crushing on brass.

First up, is a pair of brass peacocks I found at the antique faire for only $30.  They were in great condition and sets like them sell for hundreds on sites like Chairish and Ebay.

Next up is a set of pyrite (aka “Fools Gold”).  I have been on the hunt for some so I can make some custom knobs.

I apologize for the blurriness of some of these photos, but I think I may have broken my camera. Don’t tell my husband 🙂

Finally, I found these adorable brass swans at an estate sale for $2.  They made the mama and papa swans I already own so happy.  Their family is now complete!

So there you have it!  I hope brass stays popular for a while as I am up to my ears in it.

Also, today I am being interviewed by Dagmara at Glamista Home.  Head on  over and check it out.  You should also check out Glamista Home.  She is all about glamour and is right up my alley!

Lilly Pulitzer For Target

Lilly Pulitzer for Target

Hello Decorating Delirium readers!  I though I would pop in this morning for a little public service announcement.  In case you didn’t know, one week from today on April 19th, Lilly Pulitzer’s 250 piece line will debut at Target stores and online.  The line features women, children and home accents.  The even better news is that 200 of the pieces are under $30.

I had actually never heard the story behind Lilly Pulitzer before.  Lilly was a socialite whose husband owned many citrus groves in Palm Beach.  Bored of sitting around their mansion, she decided to open up a juice stand on posh Worth Avenue.  In order to cover up the juice stains she encountered, she made several dresses out of a busy floral print to hide the stains.  Catching the eye of passers-by, including Jackie Kennedy, she began selling the dresses at her stand.  The rest is history!

Here are my favorite picks from the women’s line.

Here are my favorites from the kids line.  I can just imagine my two little ones dressed in matching outfits!  I simply can’t decide which one is my favorite!

OB-Lilly Pulitzer for Target Kids

Last but not least, here are my picks for home decor.

The lounge chair and pom pom napkins are high on my list!

If you want to get your preppy on, I would recommend running, not walking to your local Target store on April 19th!

Do you have a favorite piece from the collection?  You can see the entire lookbook of the collection here.

Have a great Sunday!

Target Has Done It Again!!

Hi my lovely readers!  So, I was shopping at Target yesterday when I ran across the most amazing gold bamboo accent table.  It looked so high-end!  I think it might actually outdo the Target brass and wood bar cart I raved about here.  After seeing it, I went online and found tons of other gold goodies I am swooning over.

Try not to go out and buy it all!!

OB-Target gold Pillow / Mirror / Bowl / Accent Table/ Flatware / End Table

I have the gold flatware and it is gorgeous in person.  The gold bamboo mirror would cost you a small fortune if you bought it vintage!  I am stalking Target’s site because it is currently sold out online. Apparently, I am not the only lusting after it!

What do you think?  Are you still a fan of the gold trend?

Sources for Outdoor Fabric

Happy Friday everyone! I cannot believe it is Friday already. I am putting the final touches on my patio for the Patio Style Challenge this weekend.

I posted the other day about my favorite outdoor pillows. Today, I wanted to share with you my favorite sources for outdoor fabric. If you can sew, you can save a ton of money by making your own pillows. Sewing a basic pillow is very easy and there are a ton of easy tutorials on You Tube and Pinterest.

I used to think I could not learn to sew, but I am living proof that even a novice can learn. I had a really bad experience taking sewing lessons from this mean, Tiger mom instructor that totally turned me off. It was not until my sweet mother-in-law took me under her wing, that I realized how simple it can be.

So, without further ado, here are my favorite sources for outdoor fabric. Most of the selections are around $9 a yard, which is so affordable!!

My first go to is Fabric Guru.   They have an amazing selection and you can sort by color.  Their shipping is also only $4.99 for any size order.  Here are some of my favorites:

Fabric Guru Outdoor fabric 1

Fabric Guru Outdoor fabric 3

Fabric Guru Outdoor Fabric 2

Next up is Fabric.com.  They also have a great selection and shipping is free on orders over $35.  My sweet friend Tamara over at Provident Home Design, had a great tip for shopping with them.  If her order is under $35, she will search on Amazon because Fabric.com also sells many of their fabrics there and the shipping is only $2.00.  Here are some of my favorite picks from Fabric.com

Joann outdoor fabric 2 Fabric.com fabric 3 Fabric.com outdoor fabric 1 Fabric.com outdoor fabric 2 fabric.com outdoor fabric 3 Fabric.com outdoor fabric

Joann is one of my go-to sources.  They have a really good selection both in store and online, but I really like the fact I can go into the store and see the fabric for myself.  One of my tips for buying fabric online is to Google the fabric name.  Often times you can find a product or photo where the fabric is used in a home, so you can get a better feel for the pattern and actual color.  Here are my favorite picks from Joann (pretty nice for a craft store!)

Finally, here are my picks for outdoor fabric with orange incorporated.  My sweet aunt is wanting to add some outdoor pillows to her lovely outdoor living space and she is a big fan of orange.  All of these patterns are from Fabric Guru!

Do you have a go-to source for fabric or outdoor fabric?  Do tell in the comments.  I am always on the lookout for new sources.  With a little DIY prowess you can really score big and make affordable pillows for your outdoor living areas.

Happy Friday!!

Favorite Outdoor Pillows

Hi loves!  I have major spring fever and after putting together my Patio Style Challenge for Home Depot, I have scoured sources for outdoor pillows.  I love it that there are so many options these days, and these pillows look high-end and almost good enough to use indoors.  The range of patterns and colors has really expanded in recent years.  Gone are the days of boring beige canvas!

Here is a selection of my favorite outdoor pillows.  They range in price from low to high and can be found at all different sorts of retailers.  Do you think I have blue and green on the brain or what???

OB-Outdoor Pillows Geo / Lattice / Scallop / Greek Key / Ikat / Tassel

Aren’t these fabulous? Can you tell which ones are from a big box store and which are super high-end? See, you can get the look for less!  Stay tuned as I am going to do a round-up of the best outdoor fabric you can buy and use to make your own fabulous pillows.

Until next time  . . . .

Treasure Hunting Finds

Hi everyone!

Over the weekend, I spent the most enjoyable day searching for treasures at the Alameda Antique Faire.  It was a gorgeous day with beautiful views of San Francisco across the bay!  I went with Shavonda from SG Style and Katrina from Chic Little House and we had the best day! It is the first Sunday of every month and I will definitely be going back again.

Here is my loot.

Alameda Flea Market Finds

I think my favorite find was the pink rattan stool.  It was only $15 and I think I am going to use it as a foot stool in my little one’s big girl room.  I picked up some books for $2.00 each in pink colorways to go in her room as well.  I also added another ginger jar to my collection.  I can’t get enough blue and white ceramics.  I found some prints in bamboo frames that I will probably use just for the frame and maybe frame some Chinoiserie wallpaper.  Finally, I found a fun gold planter with lion head pulls that I thought would be a perfect fit for the fiddle leaf fig plant I FINALLY found at Home Depot.  You can read about my fondness and search for this plant here. I think it looks great!

Overall, the day was a total success.  Only bummer was getting up at 4:30 a.m. to get to Alameda by 6:30, but it was totally worth it!!

Have you found any good treasures or thrift store finds lately?

Happy Monday y’all!

Pottery Barn Does It Again and My Craigslist Find

Hey everyone!  I hope you had a wonderful holiday.  I hope you had a chance to enter the Letitia Elizabeth Giveaway.  I will be announcing the winner on Wednesday!!

Over the years, I have found myself less and less inspired by Pottery Barn.  I just felt like their catalogs looked the same season after season.  However, I was recently surprised by some of the collections over at PB Teen.  I wrote about the Emily and Merritt collections here and here.  Over the weekend, I opened up the Pottery Barn Kids catalog and was BLOWN away. They have a new collection of chinoiserie inspired goods that are so sophisticated.  I would die for any of the pieces I saw and would admittedly be very jealous of any “kid” lucky enough to have such a room.

Pottery Barn Gemma Collection

Here are some of the pieces from their new collection I am drooling over.

Seriously, how cute is this pagoda monogram.  They have upped the sophistication a notch for sure!

Pottery Barn Pagoda Monogram

Speaking of pagodas, I can’t get over this pagoda lantern from the collection.  The bamboo is to die for.

Pottery Barn Pagoda Pendant

I like their whimsical take on chinoiserie prints here in the bedding.

Pottery Barn Chinoiserie Bedding

This gold bamboo mirror is living-room worthy.  It is definitely a more affordable version that what you would find elsewhere!

Pottery Barn Bamboo Mirror

Pottery Barn Greek Key Pillow

The collection has a line of campaign style dressers called the Gemma Collection.  Campaign style pieces, noted for their bold brass hardware, have been popular for a few years now.  If you get lucky, you can find them at a thrift store or Craigslist, but they are hard to come by.

Pottery Barn Gemma Dresser

That is why it is ironic I am sharing my second ever Craigslist find.  It is a campaign dresser I found for ONLY $50!!!  It needs some love, but with the hardware polished bright gold and some paint, it will be beautiful!  This find could not have come at a better time.  My sister had been lending us a dresser that she needed to reclaim, so my daughter’s clothing had been sitting on her floor for a week.  It was driving me CRAZY.  I was about to run out and buy an outrageously expensive piece with no personality!

Here is what it looks like now:

Pretty ugly now, I know.  It is going to go in my daughter’s room so here is what I envision:

Or, I may go the white and gold route.  I can’t wait to get to work on this project and turn trash into treasure!

What do you think?  What color should I paint this lovely lady?

Currently Coveting: World Market

I popped into my local Cost Plus World Market the other day and they had so many gems for fall. I posted here about copper trending for fall and World Market is spot on the trend.  As always, it is oh so affordable.  Here are a few of my favorites!

OB-world market

Rug / Mirror / Candle Holders / Candle / Pendant / Napkins

I am really loving the striped copper candles.  They would go perfect with what I am brewing up behind the scenes for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Do you ever shop at World Market?  If so, what is your favorite fall find?

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.  I am hoping to fit in a few DIY projects this weekend.  I am currently working on some drapes for my living room and I hope to tackle that project for sure!

Literal Trash to Treasure

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you had an amazing weekend.  I was so lucky to enjoy a girls spa weekend in Lake Tahoe for my birthday.

I also had a chance to swing by a Homegoods on my way home.  I apparently feel the need to stop at every Homegoods I drive by!  I found this amazing black and white marble garbage can on clearance for only $10.  It is pure marble and weighs about 50 pounds.

IMG_7324

I had no idea where I would put it, but I loved it.  When I got it home, I decided it would be a lovely container for flowers.  Here is what I did with it.  I love the way it looks with hydrangeas and I think it would look even more stunning with white hydrangeas.

Black and White 2

I think it has a modern and chic Kelly Wearstler vibe to it.  Below are two fabrics from her line and I think my little vase (“trash can”) has a similar style and mood.

I figure I can always use it later for some other purpose or as an actual garbage can.

What do you think?  Have you ever repurposed an object for a totally different use?

Linking up to Thrifty Thursday.  Head on over to check out the inspiration!!
