A Bohemian Update

Hi everyone!  Happy Presidents Day.  While most of you have been enjoying leisurely activities an outdoor adventures with your loved ones this holiday weekend, I have spent mine tweaking my living room.  Call me crazy.

If you have been following the blog for a while, you know that my living room tends to lean toward the traditional.  I have been wanting to give it an eclectic and global influence for a while now.  When I was contact by Kilim Pillow Store and Unique Rug Store, I leaped at the chance to try out their rugs and pillows in my space.

You simply have to check out their sites.  If you want to add a layered, collected look or a global vibe to your home, they are the source!  I could spend hours perusing through their sites.

Here is the overdyed Persian rug I selected in our living room.  I just love the  deep, saturated color.

Here are some of my other favorites from Unique Rugs.

Here is the Kilim Pillow from Kilim Pillow Store.  The one I selected is so vibrant an colorful.  Each pillow is fashioned from an unused Kilim rug that is 30-40 years old.

Here are some other gorgeous options from the Kilim Pillow Store site.

What do you think?  I think even the most traditional room needs something bohemian and eclectic to add some interest and personality to a space.

Head on over to Unique Rug Store and Kilim Pillow Store to see their truly unique products.  I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Until next time . . .

  1. Beautiful updates Jennifer! Love the pillows and rug!

  2. I love how the blue from the rug and couch are not the same but compliment each other nicely. My favorite way to spice up a room is adding home textiles. Mixing and matching different textures adds depth and draws the eye. Great choices, what a way to spend a long weekend.

    • Thank you Charlotte. We lived in this house before we bought it and it was covered in beige. Since we bought it, I have been all about color!

p.s. I have a daughter named Charlotte and I LOVE the name. Thanks for stopping by the blog!
